The East End Arms has been a favourite haunt of locals serving good food and well kept beer for years. Some time ago it was taken over by John Ilsley, so there is a hint of show business if you look carefully. The lounge bar is quite small, with just half a dozen tables, so it is wise to book for an evening meal, especially at weekends. There is also a small public bar for darts and conversation.

The menu is interesting rather than extensive, usually including locally caught fish. Allow about £20 for two courses, plus wine.

The East End Arms is open every day but does not usually serve evening meals on Sundays or Mondays.
