This is the bistro attached to Carey's Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst, about ten miles from Arden House.

Le Blaireau opens at 7:00pm every evening and serves till about 9:30pm - on Fridays and Saturdays a little later. Every day they open for coffee at ten and (except on Sundays) for lunch at two, as well.

As its name suggests, Le Blaireau likes to show off a French flavour, and proudly states that you may even forget that you're still in the New Forest, so transported will you be by its Parisian ambience. Anyway, you can eat quite well here for a modest sum and may like to do so before returning to Arden House in the evening after some strenuous walking!
