The Red Lion has been a favourite evening eating place for us during the past thirty years. Somewhat cramped but blessed with warmth from log fires penetrating the many nooks and corners on cold winter evenings, friendly staff and a good pub menu; wines and beers equally acceptable to accompany food.

Expect to find the place crowded. Arrive early to bag one of the better nooks, or be prepared to stand for a bit.
