Turn left outside the entrance to Arden House, then move over into the right hand lane at the road juction and take the road downhill towards Hythe village.
Fork right by "Beyond the Fringe" and drive under the railway bridge to the bottom of the hill. At the corner turn right and continue along Shore Road past the spartina marshes. Bear right over the level crossing and start up the hill, watching carefully for the brown sign to Travellers Rest, which is just beyond the turning you need to take: Hart Hill.
The Travellers Rest is at the end of the tarmac, before the lane becomes a gravel track. The car park is adequate, just beyond the pub.
