The food is very good: an extensive menu of English dishes presented in an elegant style.]
This was not easy to find without mine hostÕs directions.
We received a good welcome to a pleasant restaurant. The menu gave an excellent selection of meals which came nicely presented with both good quality and quantity.
In a country setting, but a very good dining experience.

The Travellers Rest (Travs, to the locals) is run by Mark and Sue Bennett with Sarah and Tony Dean. They are assisted by Mark and Sue's children Michelle and Mark junior, who all grew up in the Waterside.
The food is very homely and well-cooked. For example the fillet steak at £13.95 and the Chicken Sizzler at £7.95 can be recommended - and there is lots more choice.
Meals are served from 6:30pm

Contemporary yet homely atmosphere; a family run pub in a rural location with good home made food: the menu has a selection of starters, main courses and desserts, and there is a specials board as well
Starters were priced between £3:50 to £5:00; main courses about £7:00 to £10:00
An interesting feature is the history of the family and the pub printed on the menu. Altogether this is a place to be recommended
