Turn right out of our front drive and follow signs to Beaulieu, about four miles away.

Drive over the bridge, and past the Montagu Arms Hotel. Avoid the left turn into the High Street and continue past the garage on your left. At the T junction turn left towards Lymington and Brockenhurst.

Continue up the hill and after about a mile fork left signposted to Lymington. You will see Hatchet Pond on your right. Continue along this road over the forest, watching out carefully for animals.

Entering Lymington you will cross the causeway over the River and then a railway level crossing. Immediately afterwards turn right at a mini-roundabout and then continue straight on at a second mini-roundabout. About half a mile further on turn left at yet a third mini-roundabout. Then very soon at the brow of the hill by the Toll House Inn turn sharp right into Sway Road, heading for Hordle.

Continue on Sway Road for a mile or so to a crossroads with another pub. Go straight on and then bear left at a road junction down the hill to the river. Gordleton Mill is on your right.
