This is a long established traditional pub with several snug bars for drinking well kept beers and enjoying conversation with regulars. There is also a paved garden looking out onto pier, promenade and Southampton Water.

There are several tables for eating. One of our recent guests pronounced himself pleased with his pint and nicely cooked sea bass which set him back less than ten pounds.

Last orders are taken around 8:30pm, but of course conversation goes on after that!

Unfortunately the Lord Nelson does not normally serve food after 4:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays: they are far too busy.
