This large bar and lounge, with mixed reviews, is on the first floor of the Waitrose development, accessed via a rather unprepossessing staircase next to Superdrug.

The open deck gets the evening sun in summer and like the dining area has views over the water to cruise ships berthed at Southampton Ocean Terminal (the main reason for eating here).

On a typical menu are seven starters, ten main dishes, lots of snacks and the sort of sandwiches youÕd expect.

Aim to pay £15 for two courses in the restaurant or less than £10 for a pint of beer and a bar meal.
