Easy to find, wide selection of meals including a specials board. Very generous portions, well served and very well cooked. The big asset is the panoramic view of Southampton Water.
Verdict. A very good meal and experience.

For a pleasant meal, reasonably priced, in friendly surroundings, the Seashells restaurant is highly recommended, particularly as the views of passing sea traffic are superb!

A panoramic view of the estuary to be able to see the ships come and go. Decent pub food served with a smile.

It felt like the people who were serving that evening were not very experienced. Further they gave us the impression that they didn't really care if the very few guests that evening felt happy and welcome in the Seashells.
When Jan ordered the drinks and the food, he had to pay everything at once and then the we had a lesson in being patient. After 20 minutes Jan asked the girl why it takes such a long time to serve us our drinks. The girl reacted a bit puzzled, and mumbled something about...forgotten. Drinks were served then but unfortunately the white wine was sweet instead of dry. We searched for the girl but she was no where to find... A boy helped us friendly and changed the wine.
After more lessons in patience, dinner was served, again with little enthusiasm. At that time we decided to grant the people an early closing that evening, we ate our dinner, which was moderate at taste, left the Seashells and went back to Arden House, the very best bed and breakfast in Britain!!
